This week, I got to hold my new baby grand-daughter. I love babies. My daughter-in-law is Sudanese. God knew my son would marry a Sudanese girl and that I would have a Sudanese grand-baby. My connection with the “Lost Boys and Girls” of this generation is now extended to their children.

I want my grand-daughter and my friends’ children to see their parents’ homeland flourish. When they are grown, their parents will be telling them about their childhood. I would like to see the story grow into how people came together to rebuild and work toward the greater good.

Hopefully, maybe next year the Caronavirus will be behind us and we can make plans for fundraising to make this project a reality. We will need lots of help from others who share this vision to see the next generation get the education they will need as they become the future leaders of South Sudan.
