On Sunday, July 28th, 2022, we distributed 80 backpacks for the kids at St. Paul’s Sudanese Episcopal Church in Phoenix, Arizona. About 35 kids attended and the rest were taken to the other groups. The three language groups are Dinka, Nuer and Arabic. Last year, we distritbuted 39 backpacks. This was our second annual event. We are hoping to keep doing it annually as a local event to raise interest in the community to get others involved. We would love to receive any in kind donations of school supplies for next year’s local event and any financial contributions toward future goals of our dream in Sudan.
