I’m happy to be back at school as a substitute teacher. Things are not quite the way they were before Covid, but slowly getting back to normal. There’s no way to predict what will happen this school year but I’m glad to see kids back at school. Teachers are very special people. I believe they love what they do. Some kids may not appreciate their efforts until they are grown but seeds are being planted.

We hope the Kids from St. Paul’s Sudanese church in Phoenix enjoyed receiving their backpacks and are off to a great start in this new school year. It’s a small step we could do to start locally and one day dream of doing something for the kids in Mator’s home village.

We will begin collecting backpacks and school supplies now for next summer. If we start now, we will have the whole school year to prepare. God has good plans in store for the children and youth of St. Paul’s Sudanese church. Maybe some of them will visit their parents’ homeland when they are grown and find a way to help. God bless each of you.
